Our buzzing Franxini Hive is the place where people interact with institutions. At the events of the Franxini Hive, people from politics, research and other parts of society meet to exchange ideas and create synergies.

The Franxini Hive aims to foster mutual understanding and trust between policy makers and the research community through informal exchanges in different event formats, allowing for an open dialogue on relevant topics.
Researchers get the opportunity to understand what kind of scientific work would benefit them most through direct contact with decision makers.

Briefings from the Cantonal Council
The cantonal council briefings take place as evening events with the participation of politicians from the cantonal parliament and members of research institutions. At each briefing, four members of the cantonal council provide an overview of a current business related to science in a brief introductory speech, followed by an open discussion among attendees in an adapted "World Café" format.
Fireside Chats
"Fireside Chats" are constructive workshop formats where stakeholders from research, politics, administration, and practice are brought together to discuss a current topic. In concrete scenarios, we explore scientific, technological, societal, and political perspectives which need to be considered on a topic, discuss challenges, and develop solutions.
